I wanted to have animation that wasn't limited to pregenerated pixel sprites, and came up with this. The "Idle" and "Walk" animations are pre-loaded. The SET and READ controls set one of four animation "stops". The code generates the movement between stops.
No surprise that while I thought it was promising, I quickly determined I'd never have the time to set up every animation I'd need.
